JS 4 Preparedness

About JS 4 Preparedness

Hello World!  My name is Jennifer Smock and I am a Masters of Public Health student at Purdue University.  Since the fall of 2008, the majority of my graduate research has been focused on pandemic influenza preparedness.

I currently work for Purdue Homeland Security Institute and have been involved in developing panflu tabletop exercises for hospitals and other healthcare services across Indiana.  I am also working with Purdue University Emergency Preparedness Office, where I am currently creating a Purdue Infectious Disease Plan for the Purdue University main campus.

Being new to the world of social media, I am starting to see the great potential that can come from public health utilizing these social media outlets/innovations.  JS For Preparedness will help me share all the preparedness knowledge I gain throughout this experience.

Thanks for Visiting!  Enjoy!
